UPDATE November 14, 2012: Congratulations to The Galley Sink for winning the TCC StartUp Cup!

Posted November 8, 2012: Head, Johnson & Kachigian, P.C. is proud to congratulate three of its clients for being named as finalists in the TCC StartUp Cup. The EZ Line Spool Dispenser, the Galley Sink, and the Oxygen Line Reel have all been named as finalists in the competition, with the winner of the $30,000 first-place prize to be announced November 13, 2012.
The TCC StartUp Cup is sponsored by Tulsa Community College and the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. The Cup is awarded based on an evaluation of each participant’s business model, and the competition “is designed to stimulate entrepreneurial activity, grow jobs through startups, and increase awareness of the resources available to grow entrepreneurs in the Tulsa metropolitan area,” according to the TCC StartUp Cup website. This is the sixth year for the annual competition, previously known as the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.
The EZ Line Spool Dispenser is a patent pending portable fishing line dispenser. According to www.ezlinedispenser.com, the EZ Line Spool Dispenser dispenses fishing line from a spool for loading on a reel without tangling. The EZ Line Spool Dispenser uses a compression spring to keep even tension on the fishing line during loading. The EZ Line Spool Dispenser can be mounted permanently or temporarily through the use of a suction cup mount.

The Galley Sink is a patent pending sink-based kitchen work station allowing for food preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up in one location. As shown at www.thegalleysink.com, the Galley Sink provides for interchangeable accessories, such as cutting boards, bowls, and colanders, to slide on two tiers within the sink for multiple configurations.

The Oxygen Line Reel is a patented device for storing excess oxygen tubing. The Oxygen Line Reel, shown at www.oxygenlinereel.com, is portable and keeps tubing off the floor, where it poses a safety hazard.
